We have a client in the Miami area with a direct-hire position for a Chief Financial Officer. Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science in Business or Finance. CPA required. Previous For-Profit experience desirable. The CFO will have at least ten years of broad finance experience within a hospital or integrated health care system. Demonstrated experience within the last three (3) years of growing revenue within a healthcare environment.
Financial and Operational Management
Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, regulatory requirements, and CMS/FI audit requirements. Prepare financial statements. Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities. Experience in calculating and preparing hospital contractuals, Cost Reports, DSH calculations and other key financial reports.
Oversee effective integration and use of information technology (IT) to ensure IT systems performance in the management, analysis, monitoring and reporting of financial affairs. Ensure progress of finalizing clinical applications of EHR implementation that meets the needs of the organization.
Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. Initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
Development and management of operating and capital budgets to guide, monitor, and control progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally.

Requirements Include:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field is required for this position.
• A minimum of 5 (five) years of corporate treasury or transactional banking experience with well regarded companies.
• MBA in Finance from a recognized school is preferred
• International Treasury experience helpful.
• Well developed understanding of capital markets (e.g. unsecured debt, swaps, foreign exchange, leasing)
• Strong analytical and technical finance skills.
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is a plus.

This position reports directly to the Controller and directs activities of clerical support personnel as required. Performs other related tasks as required by the Controller and CFO. Responsibilities include:
Perform assigned monthly close tasks accurately and within prescribed timing.
Top to bottom responsibility for several major sections of the financial statements including fixed assets, inventory, cash, revenue, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaids, accruals, deferred revenue, deferred rent, intangibles, equity, etc. Generate and recording general ledger entries, maintain schedules to tie-out balances to the general ledger. Ensure data integrity for information entered/uploaded to the general ledger and related modules.
Re-engineer manual tasks to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Review and tie-out work from peers for accuracy before publishing. Approve general ledger entries and limited administrative functions for general ledger software.
Support the annual financial audit and other compliance audits. Includes updating schedules and researching requests from audit staff. Coordinate requests for data from other areas of company and/or third parties.
Maintains insurance coverage, compiles and provides data to insurance representatives. Responsible for data support for various tax filings (income, sales, property, etc.) and/or for unclaimed property data and filings.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
5-7 years of accounting experience is required. CPA preferred.
Previous public accounting experience required. Big 4 or regional firm experience preferred.
Advanced proficiency with Excel (Advanced) including pivot tables required.
JD Edwards experience preferred

We have a client in the Miami area with a direct-hire position for a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO is responsible for administering the general accounting, patient business services, including third party reimbursement, financial and statistical reporting functions of the hospital in accordance with established policies and accounting procedures.
This position works collaboratively with the CEO and governing Board in the development of long and short range hospital operations plans and capital budgets as supported by the hospital’s long and short range objectives.
The CFO monitors the hospital’s fiscal performance on realizing its established plans and objectives and identifies and reports undesirable trends with remedial action recommendations to the governing Board for final review and approval.

BS or BA in Accounting,
